The street has been the inspiration and location for much of Mark Salvatus’ work. Under the tag Boy Agimat, Salvatus co-founded the Pilipinas Street Plan collective, which included graffiti artists, musicians, muralists and skateboarders. His participation in the artist group TutoK also involves interventions and advocacy in the public sphere. His Wrapped projects, which have been undertaken in cities all over the world since 2007, including Barcelona, Manila, Bandung, Bangkok, Amman and Kuala Lumpur, invite passers-by to draw the outline of a personal object they are carrying onto a found wall, which the artist then fills in with bandage patterns. The abstract yet suggestive shapes become an archive of private traces "to be opened with the hands in our heads".
